Claude Nobs’ chalet, founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival, is located near Le Coucou Hotel & Restaurant. This “Le Picotin” chalet has welcomed jazz and pop stars coming to eat, sleep, or for a jam session for more than 50 years. Nowadays, Claude Nobs’ foundation manages the inheritance of the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Chalet of Caux can be rented for private or corporate events. Claude Nobs’ chalet is a magical place with a unique collection of musical instruments that belonged to stars, an amazing library of 45,000 vinyl records and other unique and extravagant objects. The narcissus is the iconic flower from the heights of Montreux. Entire fields of narcissus bloom in Caux soon after the snow melts, between the end of April and the end of June. From 1897 to 1957, the narcissus festival was the most important event in Montreux. A procession of luxuriously-decorated floral floats crossed the city.
